Progression Checklist

Printable progression checklist for MrBeast Island Escape: beach setup, tools, Shelter, Raft, Sail, and escape milestones in order.

How to Use This Checklist

Work top to bottom. Skip only when a later step is already complete on your save—for example, if a teammate crafted the Pickaxe, mark it done for yourself and move on. Revisit skipped combat steps before inland nights. This checklist assumes standard ATYS 1 survival rules on the current Roblox place ID for MrBeast Island Escape.

Phase 1 — Beach Landing (Day 1)

Spawn and locate the main beach crafting area. Craft a basic Axe. Gather wood for Campfire fuel. Craft a basic Pickaxe. Build a Campfire before first sunset. Craft at least one Torch per player. Hunt or fish for initial food stock.

Optional co-op: assign roles now—gatherer, builder, night guard. Talk to visible NPCs near wreckage for tutorial quests that unlock later recipes.

Phase 2 — Base & Tools (Days 2–3)

Build minimal Shelter walls near Campfire. Upgrade Axe tier when recipe unlocks. Upgrade Pickaxe tier for faster stone. Store backup fuel and food at base. Craft a Spear for boar defense. Complete shore NPC quests that gate Raft station access.

Mark the Raft build station on your mental map. Start a plank stockpile labeled for frame only—do not spend Sail cloth on side projects.

Phase 3 — Inland Push (Days 4–6)

First inland trip in daylight with Spear and Torch. Mine stone nodes and rare chests. Return before dusk unless carrying Lanterns and agreed co-op escort. Trade with MrBeast when offers beat farming time—see trading guide.

Unlock mid-game recipes from quest chains. Begin cloth farming for future Sail. Upgrade night light from Torch to Lantern when blueprint appears.

Phase 4 — Raft Frame (Days 6–8)

Place basic Raft frame at build station. Expand to squad-appropriate size. Add reinforcement modules if required. Short daylight water test near shore. Do not launch final escape without Sail unless challenge rules agreed.

Phase 5 — Sail & Escape (Days 8+)

Unlock Sail blueprint via quest chain. Craft and attach Sail. Load food, light sources, repair mats. Review escape route on map hub. Launch during favorable daylight window. Reach escape point with squad intact.

After escape, revisit tier lists for challenge runs—speed weapons, minimal Shelter, or no-trade rules.

Printable Summary Table

Beach: Axe, Pickaxe, Campfire, Torch. Base: Shelter, tool upgrades, Spear, NPC quests. Inland: stone, cloth, Lantern, MrBeast trades. Raft: frame, test, Sail, reinforce. Escape: route, supplies, coordinated launch.

Copy this list to notes app and tick items inline. Share co-op links to the same checklist so everyone sees which phase the squad is in.

Speedrun variants can add side columns for timer splits—first Campfire, first Spear, Sail unlock, launch—but keep the main order intact. Deviating before basic night safety produces flashy clips and lost accounts. If a teammate skips ahead, note it in chat and reconcile before Raft launch so someone is not still on Phase 2 tools while the squad paddles without them.

Phase Gates and Blockers

Common blockers: no Pickaxe before inland, no Torch before day two jungle, no Sail blueprint before shore quests, launching Raft without food stacks. When blocked, do not skip phases—return to previous checkbox column.

If entire squad stuck on same phase forty-eight hours, watch for patch drift: quest NPC missing, blueprint renamed, or station moved on expanded shoreline maps. Cross-check patch tracker before blaming individual players.

Celebrating phase completion in voice chat sounds silly but prevents backsliding—teams that verbalize “Phase 4 started” forget fewer Sail mats in random Shelter crafts.

Mobile players can screenshot the phase header and set it as chat wallpaper for the session—cheap accountability when voice is unavailable.

Checklist Variants

Hard mode variant: add “no MrBeast trades” column before Phase 5. Speed variant: add timer column with target hours per phase. Teaching variant: add mentor notes for who explains Campfire to new Roblox players.

Variants share the same phase order—never reorder phases in custom sheets without understanding why Sail follows frame. Custom orders are how groups accidentally paddle without cloth banked.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a full checklist run take?
Solo efficient runs often reach Sail-ready Rafts in roughly a week of casual play sessions. Co-op can compress phases by splitting roles. Skill and patch balance affect timing.
Can I skip Shelter?
Experienced players sometimes skip large Shelters, but Campfire and light remain mandatory early. Skipping all base building is a challenge variant, not recommended for first clears.
What if I cannot find the Sail quest giver?
Finish earlier shore quests and rebuild Raft frame placement. Rejoin server if NPCs despawn. Check patch tracker for quest order changes.
Should trading with MrBeast be on the checklist?
Yes as an optional branch whenever trades save time on cloth or blueprint mats. Mark trades completed so teammates do not duplicate offers.
Does checklist order work on mobile?
Yes. Mobile players may prioritize fishing over boar hunts—adjust Phase 1 food steps while keeping Campfire and Torch timing strict.
